Alternate nostril breathing (nadi shodhana) is a unique pranayama practice that both reveals impurities or imbalances in our subtle energy channels (nadis), and also helps cleanse and purify these pathways. With regular practice, the cleansing and calming effect of alternate nostril breathing cultivates equilibrium in our nervous systems and equanimity in our minds.
