The Four Attitudes: Practicing Yoga Sutra 1:33

Overview

Often overlooked in yoga sadhana, the four attitudes described in the Yoga Sutra are essential in the quest to overcome habitual negative mental states, and live well with happiness and contentment. Recorded live in the Sri Vidya Shrine in Khajuraho, India in January, 2024, these five lectures explore how and why to intentionally cultivate the four attitudes: Equanimity, happiness, compassion, and friendliness (upeksha, mudita, karuna, maitri). Panditji explains the stages of practice, the passive and active aspects of each attitude, and why they are key to a successful yoga practice as well as to finding true and lasting joy in life. An active practice enhances self-awareness, stabilizes clarity of mind, and anchors the fruits of the other components of spiritual practice. Start now, and align yourself with the enlightened mind.
